We are proud to share highlights from the Agri-Food Transformation Hackathon 2026, a first-of-its-kind event hosted at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik in Lebanon and organized by the Asher Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship in collaboration with The Industrial Kingdom.
A GREAT TURNOUT
Throughout the three days, 86 student working in teams collaborated intensively, received hands on mentorship, and ultimately pitched their solutions to a jury of industry experts. The top teams were recognized for their innovation and impact, with opportunities for further development and internships that will surely impact their future.
The students were introdued and coached on major concepts driving the industry today: Food Security | Food Loss & Waste| Lean Six Sigma Excellence | Innovation Thinking | Circularity | Sustainability | Industrial Challenges | Team Work | Root Cause Analysis | Pitching.
PROMISING RESULTS
This hackathon reflects a broader mission we strongly believe in: bridging the gap between industry and innovation. By connecting young talent with real challenges and experienced mentors, we are helping shape the future of the agri-food sector in Lebanon and the MENAT.
