The Industrial Kingdom was proud to participate in the recent webinar, "Creative Financing Solutions," organized by the Agrifood Innovation Community under the EU-funded Lebanon Innovate Program and led by Berytech.
The online event brought together key stakeholders from Lebanon's agrifood ecosystem, including financing organizations, development agencies, industry experts, entrepreneurs, and SMEs seeking innovative pathways to secure funding and accelerate growth.
As businesses across the agrifood sector continue to navigate economic uncertainty, access to financing remains one of the most critical factors for sustainable development and expansion. The webinar served as an important platform for discussing practical funding opportunities and connecting industry players with organizations that can support their growth journey.
The event featured an impressive lineup of speakers representing leading institutions that are actively contributing to economic development and business resilience in Lebanon:
Marleine Daher, President and Co-Founder of the Michel Daher Social Foundation
Natasha Marashlian Saadeh, Chief of Party at the Rene Moawad Foundation
Jad Zgheib, National Programme Manager at the EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction & Development)
Kassem Jouni, Regional Emergency Preparedness & Response Officer and Advisor for Anticipatory Action at the World Food Program
Rami Lakkis, Founder and Director of LOST (Lebanese Organisation for Science & Training)
Together, the speakers shared valuable insights into financing mechanisms, development programs, grant opportunities, and support initiatives available to agrifood SME's & MSME's operating in Lebanon.
The program was co-organized and managed by Dr. Pauline Aad, Professor at Notre Dame University and Director of the Technology Transfer Office, alongside Marilyn Abdessater, Business Development Manager at Rentokil Boecker, who moderated the panel discussions.
The Industrial Kingdom was especially honored to have its Founder and Industry Expert, Valerie Zakka Standen, serve as the Master of Ceremonies (MC) for the webinar. Through her role, Valerie helped facilitate meaningful discussions among experts and stakeholders while ensuring an engaging and productive experience for participants.
With decades of experience supporting industrial development, manufacturing excellence, and agrifood innovation across the region, Valerie's participation reflects The Industrial Kingdom's ongoing commitment to strengthening the industrial and agrifood sectors and advancing Food Security efforts through knowledge sharing, collaboration, and strategic guidance.
At The Industrial Kingdom, we firmly believe that innovation alone is not enough. Businesses must also have access to the right resources, expert advice, and strategic partnerships to successfully transform ideas into sustainable growth opportunities. Events such as "Creative Financing Solutions" play a vital role in creating these connections and empowering entrepreneurs and manufacturers to move forward with confidence.
We extend our appreciation to Berytech, the Lebanon Innovate Program, and all participating organizations for bringing together such a valuable discussion for the benefit of Lebanon's agrifood community.
As we continue our mission of supporting manufacturers, agribusinesses, and investors across the region, The Industrial Kingdom remains committed to participating in initiatives that foster innovation, competitiveness, and long-term industrial growth.
We look forward to future collaborations that help unlock new opportunities for Lebanon's agrifood sector and contribute to building a more resilient and prosperous industrial ecosystem.
